Hi Caesar,
Can you please help me out? I have a 7 month old Staffordshire Bull terrier and he is the most amazing dog with a great temperament!! His name is Jack. When I come home at the end of the day (my husband is home before me and says Jack never does this), he leaps up into the air as high as he can and he gently bites my feet so that I cannot walk any further and he grabs my handbag while it is still over my shoulder! I tell him STOP! But he doesn't listen! I have to hold my bag and coat in the air and move gingerly toward the front door of my house so as not to step on him. What can I do to stop this very excited behavior?

Put a soft ball in his mouth, his favourite if possible. Do this every day, through the gate, before entering the yard. Do not enter the yard till the dog has the ball in it's mouth if this is possible.
Make sure that you put the same ball in the letterbox before you have left for work, so it is ready for you when you come home. Do this religiously.
