Hi, my name is Amira. I have a dog that I've had now for going on 6 years. She is a family pet. She is a pitbull mix. I first saved her when I was 18 and she lived with me for a short time in a one bedroom apartment, we soon realized this was not going to work. My mom then took her to live at her home. She has a large, fenced in yard. We also have a Basset Hound. They get along well. However, Piper has had quite a few mishaps. She suffers from anxiety disorder and has practically destroyed my mom's house at different times. Today my mom hit her breaking point. After 5 years of destruction to the carpets, doors, walls, etc...my mom decided to put in hard wood floors. These are now being destroyed. My mom is very distraught, we all are. Piper is an amazing dog, very very intelligent with a high play drive. She would do great in agility training or anything of that nature. The problem is, none of us have time. We all work full time schedules, and my mom lives in a large house (my brothers and I have moved out), so she has many responsibilites. She is a nurse and works long hours. But, with all of this said...she has come to her wits end and is considering euthanasia. I can't bear the thought of it, and I no of NO ONE who would take this dog. PLEASE PLEASE HELP US. I need the name of someone or something that can assist us with our issues and our dog. Please let me know if you know of anyone. Thank you all so much.
