Rough housing puppy
Posted by Beksta | 23/08/2009

Hi,

I have an absolutely gorgeous Am Staff puppy. She is extremely social and loves to play with all dogs and people. When we go to the dog park she tries to play with all of the dogs, big and small, but often ends up playing with other puppies. She often plays with a couple of Lab pups. I have no problem with the way they play. They play with their mouths, muzzling each other, chasing and tumbling. When Diva walks away, the other pup always follows and tried to initiate more play.
Recently, I over heard the owner of one of the Lab pups telling other owners that Diva was teaching his pup bad habits? Is this true and if so, how can I control the way she plays? If not, how can I approach this negative attitude towards my loving and playful pup?
I don't want to stop taking her to the park because it is excellent socialization and she loves it so much!
Thanks for your time.
