Hi, I am the sometimes proud owner of 3 german shepherds 2 female 1 male. We excercise them regularly and take them to the dog parks in our area. In the last 3 months our male Hunter's behaviour has changed and become challenging. He now pulls continually on the lead to the point where he is choking himself on the check chain. It doesn't seem to matter to him that we are not moving as he pulls even when we stop. He drops his head and chest and drags down towards the ground. At the Dog park he is now becoming dog aggressive and has gotten into several blood drawing fights in the last 2 months. Our other dogs are fine until Hunter initiates a fight and then they join in as well making it difficult to stop the fight. Our dogs used to be very socialable with other dogs and this change in behaviour is very unsettling. Dispite the now seeming constant correction he seems to be getting worse not better. The dogs have also now started barking at 2 and 5 am which I am concerned will lead to complaints from the neighbours and the broken sleep while we get up to correct them is becoming very draining. All of our dogs are now desexed. Please help if you can offer any solutions I would be etternally grateful.

Ihad that problem 18 months ago with my rescued german shepherd. I follow Cesar Millan's techniques all the time consistently and now it paid off. Yes I have him desexed and give him 3 rules in that order (exercise by doing long vigorous walk for 2 hours in the a.m, discipline and affection) I also rescued a labrador and 2 pugs X jack russell. So I fully understand about their pack mentality, but you have to be a split second in control to react before one's bad reaction. Please let me know.
